About Us
Ongi.News is a digital news publication based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It is owned and operated by Ongi Digital Venture LLP.
Editor: Shyam Parekh
We cover business, economy, public policy, governance, lifestyle, health, society and culture and more with a focus on Gujarat, India and beyond. Our journalism rests on accurate reporting, careful analysis and a clear line between news and opinion.
We are in the business of providing meaningful content and our stories will tend to be detailed and longish in nature. We will not be bombarding our readers with an endless flow of inane content. Our editorial strength lies in presenting what we consider useful and where we know that our strength will add value to the content one needs or likes.
What we publish
- News: reporting on developments as they happen, with context and verification.
- Analysis and opinion: commentary from writers and experts, clearly labelled as such.
- Explainers and features: longer reporting on issues that affect people’s lives.
- Experimental Content: New forms, genres and types of content.
Our values
- Accuracy: we check facts and correct errors openly.
- Independence: our editorial decisions are our own.
- Fairness: we give people a chance to respond and present differing views.
- Respect: we protect the dignity and privacy of the people we write about.
Advertising and sponsorship
Advertising and sponsored content are clearly labelled and kept separate from independent editorial coverage. Commercial interests do not drive our reporting.
